2 days later Gamja was cleared of all danger.doctors confirmed she would live and might even walk. It was touch and go as the disc material had begun to spread up the spinal canal. That day she had emergency surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. They agreed her situation was grave and we quickly relinquished her to their care. Within minutes DRBC was on the phone with us and within an hours we were on their doorstep. The vet gave us the names of several groups and we went o work quickly calling and emailing. We rushed her to our vet and found ourselves in a very bad position.we could not afford to help her and our vet said she feared Gamja would die without surgery. Our little girl Gamja was struck suddenly and seriously with IVDD. everything!!!Even after you have passed through the process, you come home knowing DRBC is there for you when you need them.…like a family. He is an absolute joy! Our little one came home with his complete medical, premium food ( to last the apocalypse-haha), vitamins, supplements, heartworm and flea and tick preventative packets ( to last 6 months ). He came to us with this incredible spirit of glee. He came from a highly tense situation Cindie, Joanne and the rest of the DRBC team was able to restore normalcy in his life. We could have not had a more beautiful little boy. You have to trust that they know and they did deliver that promise. It is a process and there is waiting, but this rescue has seen every kind on both fences - adoptee and adopter. ( tune in to their FB posts to see for yourselves!)With us -They asked what we were looking for and they listened. They were able to assess the dog that was right for us. I have seen the incredible work that they do for the dogs- they travel miles to rescue dogs, spend sleepless night to provide them with medical attention and all the care they need.
